Week 6

Assignment--Mash-up photos that I took to convey a meaning

Craft-- I used photo shop to cut out different images from the pictures I took and put them all together on one picture. I used the marquee tool to cut out the pictures perfectly and scaled the pictures to make them the right size on the photo.

Composition--I need to change the ultimate background of my photo because I need to get a better view on the whole city in Chicago instead one little part. I want the viewers to see and notice the little things that take place on the streets of Chicago. In order for me to do that I need to take a better shot of Chicago so I have more room to create the full image.

Concept-- The concept of my photo will be details of things that take place downtown Chicago and the different activities that go on.

week 4

Assignment- This week we had to come up with our final draft of our mash-up which consisted of a combo of a picture from the lincoln era and a current picture that i chose. We had to edit and fix our picture from last week and make our message stronger and really stand out. We used photoshop to clean things up also.

Craft- For my craft i decided to actually change my pictures from last week and mash-up two different ones to make it better. I cleaned the pictures up and made them look good together.
I added more ships from the civil war in the background to make the message come across stronger and fixed Lincoln so that he stood out more.

Composition- I scaled Lincoln so that when people look at the picture their eyes are drawn to him. He stands out because he is bigger now and it draws attention to him. I also fixed the lighting of the picture to make it brighter.

Concept- I put Lincoln on a beach in Hawaii and many ships in the background to show his preperation for war. There is also cannons on the side of the picture and soldier men on shore also. I titled my picture "Abrahams Adventure" because he does many amazing things in his life time.

Week 3

Assignment: Mash up--Select a photo from the Lincoln ear and the contemporary pictures that I wanted to put together to create a message.

Craft: I selected a picture from my Lincoln pictures and one of my recent pictures and cut out a head and put it on Lincolns body. I used photoshop to help create the image that I wanted. I used the marquee tool to cut around the head of one of my recent pictures and placed it over Lincolns head. Then I used tools such as transformation to adjust/fix the scale, rotation, skew/distort. I also adjusted the brightness/contrast of the image along with the hue/saturation to make the colored picture match the Lincolns.

Composition: I didnt really have a message to send across of my picture because it was kind of plain and was just changing the heads around.

Concept: I want to change the pictures to make more of a meaning and have more detail in the picture. I want my picture to really stick out and make a point. I want to put Abraham's head on another body because I think it will make the picture better right away.
