final week!

craft: We had to fix up and organize our iwebs and made sure they worked on other peoples computers.

Composition: I had to add more pictures and change some sentences in my iweb page to make it look better. I had to be consistant with my three pages and made sure they were able to catch the viewers eye.

Concept: The concept of my pages are for people to learn more about me as an indivdual and to be able to create a web site. It was very interesting to learn how to use all the different tools that professor peck taught us.

week 13

Assignment:  We had to create a web page using iweb.  One page had to be about ourselves and the other had to be about visual communications.

Craft:  First I picked out a template that I liked and used that.  Then I added pictures of myself and things that described me also.  I wrote a brief paragraph about myself and what I liked.  I exported my comic on it and picked various colors to use.

Composition:  I made my page very bright so that it would stand out when people viewed my page.  I wanted my page to really show who I am in many ways.  I made the pictures very big and and pop out.  I had to make my visual communications page stand out more just like my own page.

Concept:  My web page is supposed to be unique and to show the class about ourselves.

week 12

Assignment:  look at the critique that our classmates all wrote on and for our comic book.

Craft:  For the final layout, i had to space out my frames and make them clearer throughout the story.  I also changed some of the wording that was used in some of the slides as well.

Composition:  By changing some of the slides, it was easier to look and tell what the story was saying.

Concept:  My concept is now much clearer because i took out some words and rearranged some slides for the final.  The pictures turned out very good and hopefully made the message more understandable.

week 11

Assignment:  Take the pictures that we have created and try to improve your story.  Fix anything else that is needed.

Craft:  Using comic life, we added many more features to improve our comic.  We used bubbles for the characters dialogue and added in a title and words.  I added these features which made my comic story clearer to others.

Composition:  I had to change some of the colors in the pictures and made sure they were all consistent.  I also enlarged my photos and made the frames stick out.

Concept:  The story is about a boy who ordered basketball shoes and they were supposed to delivered before his game that night.  His mom had to go pick up the shoes and made it right in time for the game!

week 10

Assignment: Add color to the story by multiplying the colors to make things stand out. There should be 9-12 pictures that include this.

Craft: The first thing i did was put the photo in black and white and made sure that the image was flattened. Then i added 2 more new layers so that I could add color to the pictures and make the characters stand out. I chose different blues and greens to add to my characters so they didn't blend in with the background.

Composition: I used many different shades of colors to see which combination I liked that best. I realized I am going to use a combination of red and blue. The red will be the color of Jake's shoes and the blue will be the characters. This will help the reader get a clear idea of what is happening. I need to change some things in my story to make it better and be more consistent with my colors throughout my story.

Concept: I need to add a bubble to one of the pictures where my aunts on the phone to explain why shes making a face talking to someone. I also need to change some of the colors on the photos and be consistent with them.
